A split-up demerger divided Saldo Finance Oyj into two new companies
The 2022 fiscal year was only three months long for Saldo Finance Oyj and ended on March 31, 2022 due to the split-up of the corporation. During the three-month accounting period, the company continued its business and prepared for the company's demerger.
In 2022, the company continued sustainable growth in both consumer and corporate finance in Finland. The turnover for the accounting period was €6.2 million (€27.3 million in 2021) and operating profit €2.9 million (€15.6 million in 2021). Due to the shortened length of the accounting period, the figures are not comparable to previous accounting periods.
At the end of the financial year on March 31, 2022, Saldo Finance Oyj underwent a total split, and two new companies were formed in the split: Saldo Finance Oy (Business ID 3246453-9) and Tact Finance Oy (Business ID 3246454-7).
As of April 1, 2022, the assets, liabilities and liabilities related to the operation were transferred to Tact Finance Oy. The shares of UAB Saldo Finance, part of the staff with their responsibilities and the intangible rights, debts and liabilities related to banking operations were transferred to Saldo Finance Oy. The new companies will continue to operate as independent operators, developing their own separate strategies.
Saldo Finance Oy's Lithuanian subsidiary UAB Saldo Finance will scale operations internationally and develop new products focused on digital banking towards the end of 2022 and especially in 2023. The special banking license enables Saldo to accept deposits, issue loans, provide payment services and other standard banking services.
