Definition of Politically Exposed Persons
A. politically exposed person means a natural person entrusted with prominent public functions:
1) as Head of State, Head of Government, Minister, Deputy or Deputy Minister;
2) as a Member of Parliament;
3)as a member of the governing bodies of political parties;
4)as a member of supreme courts, constitutional courts or other similar judicial bodies, against whose decisions there is no judicial remedy except in exceptional circumstances;
5)as a member of the Court of Auditors and of the supreme decision-making body responsible for auditing state finances equivalent to the NAO; as a member of the Executive Board of the Central Bank;
6) as ambassador or chargé d’affaires; in the armed forces, at least as an officer of the General Corps;
7)as a member of the administrative, management or supervisory body of a wholly State-owned or majority-owned enterprise or of a State enterprise other than a company whose securities are admitted to trading on a regulated market within the meaning of Chapter 1, Section 2 of the Law on Trading in Financial Instruments;
8)as a director, deputy director or member of the board of directors or equivalent of the headquarters of an international organisation or international organisation;
B. a member of the family of a politically exposed person means:
1) any spouse or partner treated as a spouse by the national law of the country concerned;
2) the children and their spouses or the partner referred to above; and
3) parents;
C. partners of a politically exposed person:
1) any natural person who is known to be the beneficial owner jointly of entities, traders or legal arrangements, or to have any other close business relationship with a politically exposed person;
2) any natural person who has sole beneficial ownership of entities, traders or legal arrangements which are known to have been set up effectively for the benefit of a politically exposed person;
